Villages Health support Organization Partner with Denmark organization called the why Foundation provided with Video Documentary with the Title “In the name of your Daughter”. For the Outreach of FGM Eradication

VHSO together with Government Representative from Arusha District Council were able to give awareness also by using film educating Village Leaders, Church Leaders, Local Midwives hence Olchorovos Primary school student on how to Eradicate FGM At the village. This was our New experience to use Video Documentary and it has good results

It gives awareness to them that they have responsibilities to educate their fellows at the Village, Church, families on how to end FGM

They also see how Children feel bad practically and even hate their blood mother because of FGM act which is very bad and can bring the gap between families.

There was one women who perform FGM were asking a question by using Native language what are the effects of FGM because before she believe that FGM is done to treat UTI, We explain to her and she understand well and promise from now on ward she will take the child to the Hospital if she think of UTI rather than Mutilate them

It help give Confidence to Children when see their fellow through Film. They can go to report to the Police when forced to be mutilated. They promise if they find any one practice FGM or try to be forced to be Mutilated they will report to Police, Teacher and Nurse near their Village

They know when a boy is circumcised it means to remove dirty but when a girl is circumcised means to remove part of her body so FGM make a girl like disables person,It helps them know FGM  cause loss of blood and even death

They will run to safe House if forced to be mutilated, although here in Arusha there is no Safe House; They promise to educate their fellows on what they have learned from the Film.
